1.4. Cookies, Web Beacons, and Other Technology Used to Collect Information.
We may also use web beacons on the Website, in our emails, and in our advertisements on other websites. Shapiro MD encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and instruct their children to never provide their personal information to the site without parental permission.

Shapiro MD collects credit card numbers and related information when an individual places an order from Shapiro MD. When the credit card information is submitted to Shapiro MD, such information is encrypted and is protected with SSL encryption software. Shapiro MD will use the credit card information for purposes of processing and completing purchase transactions, and the credit card information will be disclosed to third parties only as necessary to complete the purchase transaction and process payment or any refund. If future orders are automatically shipped, Shapiro MD shall retain credit card information in a secured location with restricted access.

Shapiro MD’s unsubscribe process impacts only the future delivery of electronic mailings disseminated by Shapiro MD on its own behalf. 2.3. Storage of Individual Information.
Shapiro MD stores Personal Identifying Information in a database on its computers. Shapiro MD’s computers have security measures (such as a firewall) in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under Shapiro MD’s control. Notwithstanding such measures, Shapiro MD cannot guarantee that its security measures will prevent Shapiro MD computers from being illegally accessed, and the Personal Identifying Information on them stolen or altered.

We reserve the right to charge a fee where permitted by law, for instance, if your request is unfounded or excessive. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.
Verification: Please note, we will take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling any of the above requests. If you maintain an account with us, we will verify your identity through existing authentication practices for the account (e.g., login and password). Please note, that if you are submitting a request regarding information you provided to a Medical Group, a Providers, or a Pharmacy, your request should be directed to that entity.
Anti-Discrimination Right: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. But note that some of the functionality and features available to you may change or no longer be available to you upon deletion of your personal information or opt-out of sale of your personal information.
We do not and will not sell the personal information of minors under 16 years of age without affirmative authorization.

However, you must keep your Account password secure and your Account confidential, and you are responsible for any and all use of your Account.
